My name is Alexis Nichols, but we’re friends now, so you can call me Lexi.

I started photographing when I was in the 8th grade getting paid in products, rather than money at my local Harley Davidson Dealer. I fell in love with the idea of helping others to create the perfect image for their events and since 2012 I have found myself in wedding photography. I am trying to make my way into the food photography world but hope to never leave Wedding, Event, and portrait photography either. It’s important to narrow down and specialize your particular skills but it is also a blast to challenge new obsticles and that is what food photography is to me, a little something extra.

Since 2008 I have taken classes from high school and random courses offered by photography stores and Groupon deals. I graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelors of Arts in Commercial Photography and a Minor in Business Management. While attending Columbia, I found myself in so many different types of photography classes with different types of teachers, Fine Art, Commercial, and Fashion photographers and also Retouchers. Working with all sorts of people has given me the opportunity to learn to think outside of the box and try something new from a different perspective. Education will always be important to me and I will never stop looking for opportunities for new experiences.

I would absolutely love to get together with you and have a cup of coffee as we discuss your upcoming event or need for photographs. I take pride of the fact that I am welcoming to new idea’s and flexible to meeting each particular clients wishes. I look forward to working with you.
